Anvil Range Arts Society (ARAS)
Anvil Range Arts Society is a Yukon-registered non-profit society. Since 2001, we have worked to promote and support local artists and crafts people by organizing workshops, gallery spaces, and performance venues in the Faro area.
We intend to have a community cultural centre and gallery space here in the future. This region needs, and our creative people deserve, a dedicated space of this kind.
In the meantime, Faro has small-sale displays at half a dozen places around town and a weekly coffee meet-up to connect and to get out to finish a project. We’ve been lucky to work with the Faro Recreation Centre, Del Van Gorder School, and the Faro Campus of Yukon University for programming.
We always welcome visitors and new residents to get in touch and participate in workshops and events!

Faro Golf Course
Come and play Faro's unique nine-hole golf course, where the fairways meander throughout the picturesque community. We also invite individuals or groups to come out, relax and hit some balls at our fine Driving Range.
Visitors can either bring their own gear or rent golf equipment, including golf carts, from the Driving Range "Shack." Advance booking is recommended, as the Shack is staffed by volunteers. Reservations can be made by texting or calling 867-333-3276 or by visiting the Faro Golf Club website at https://www.farogolfclub.ca/book-online.
Be sure to take in our annual Golf Tournament, a favourite among golfing enthusiasts across the Yukon. The Annual Faro Golf Tournament, using a scramble-format, is held the third week of July. Tintina Gun Club
The Tintina Gun Club's mandate is to advocate for safe and legal gun handling, discharging, and ownership, while promoting shooting sports such as target practice; it's also a great place for hunters to sight in their hunting rifles. *The Tintina Gun Club is an approved and licensed gun range/club. Restricted gun owners must have a membership to such a range, we are lucky to have one so close to Faro!
Faro-ites may have taken part in our community Turkey Shoots or our Shooting Programs.
