Ice Fishing

Ice Fishing at Swim Lakes - Town of Faro – Real Estate – Yukon – Canada

Ice fishing is a popular winter activity for a lot of Yukoners. The frozen lakes are ideal destinations for a day of fishing in a fairytale winter setting. You can either choose from roadside accessible lakes such as Little Salmon Lake, Fisheye Lake and Frances Lake(snowfall may prevent driving up to the lakes by vehicle) or you may want to use a snowmobile to reach secluded lakes in the back country. At all times be sure that the ice is thick enough to carry your weight and your snowmobile's weight safely.

Prevent being fined by purchasing a fishing license at the Conservation Office or the Territorial Agent.

A wide range of fishing gear and related equipment is available at the Hardware Store in Faro.
